Flayvr help
Got a Question?
Everything you need to know about ordering, delivery, storing your meals and what happens if something is not right.
What does Flayvr sell?
Flayvr makes chef-prepared ready-made meals, cook-at-home meal kits, personalised meal plans, tiffin and selected gut health plans. Product availability changes with the menu, so check the product page for exactly what is included.
What is the difference between a ready-made meal and a meal kit?
Ready-made meals are cooked and designed to be reheated, with many ready in around three minutes. Meal kits contain chef-prepared components for you to finish at home, with many ready in ten minutes or less. Always follow the instructions supplied with your product.
Are Flayvr meals made fresh or frozen?
Flayvr meals are prepared fresh and delivered chilled, not frozen, unless a product page clearly says otherwise. Refrigerate the food as soon as it arrives.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible. Because ingredients are ordered and food is prepared specifically for scheduled deliveries, changes may not be possible after the kitchen cut-off or once preparation has started. Any applicable cut-off will be shown at checkout, in your account or in your order confirmation.
Can I send a Flayvr order as a gift?
Yes. Enter the recipient’s delivery address at checkout and make sure someone can receive or promptly refrigerate the chilled food. Add any available gift message during checkout or contact us immediately after ordering.
Where do you deliver?
Flayvr offers chilled delivery to eligible UK postcodes. Enter your postcode at checkout to confirm availability, delivery options and any location-based restrictions.
How much is delivery?
Qualifying orders over £50 receive free chilled delivery. Any delivery charge, available date and service level will be confirmed at checkout before you pay.
How is my food kept cold in transit?
Meals are packed cold in insulated packaging with cooling materials selected for chilled transport. The box is designed to slow temperature change during the delivery journey, but it is not a refrigerator. Refrigerate all chilled items immediately after delivery.
My ice packs have softened. Is the food still safe?
Cooling packs can soften or partially thaw during transit. That alone does not necessarily mean the food is unsafe. The meals should still arrive chilled. Refrigerate them immediately. If the food feels warm, a seal is broken, packaging is swollen or leaking, or you are otherwise concerned, do not eat it and contact us within 24 hours with photographs.
What should I do if my delivery is delayed or missing?
Check the courier tracking first, then contact Flayvr as soon as possible with your order number. Because the order contains perishable food, do not consume anything that arrives warm, damaged or outside the condition described on its label.
What happens if I am not home?
Use the delivery and tracking options to arrange a safe handover wherever possible. Chilled food must be refrigerated promptly, so choose an address where someone can receive the parcel. Flayvr cannot guarantee the safety or quality of food left unrefrigerated after a completed delivery.
What should I do when my order arrives?
Open the parcel promptly, check the seals and labels, then place all chilled items in the fridge immediately. Keep your fridge between 0°C and 5°C and follow the storage instructions on each label.
How long do the meals last?
Use the use-by date on each individual item. Shelf life can vary by recipe and delivery date. A use-by date is about food safety, so do not eat the product after that date even if it looks or smells normal.
How should I reheat a ready-made meal?
Follow the instructions on the product label. Reheat until the food is steaming hot throughout, including the centre, and stir where appropriate so it heats evenly. Only reheat a meal once.
Can I freeze my meals?
Only freeze an item when its label or product instructions say it is suitable for freezing. Freeze it on or before the use-by date. Defrost safely in the fridge and follow the label for how quickly it must be used. Do not refreeze a meal that has already been defrosted unless the instructions specifically allow it.
Can I eat a meal after its use-by date if it smells fine?
No. The sniff test cannot confirm that food with a use-by date is safe. Do not eat, cook or freeze a chilled Flayvr item after its use-by date.
Where can I find ingredients and allergen information?
Check the product page before ordering and the final label when your food arrives. Recipes and garnishes can change, so the label supplied with the meal is the final ingredient and allergen statement.
Can you cater for food allergies?
Contact us before ordering if you have an allergy, intolerance or medical dietary requirement. Flayvr prepares different recipes in a working kitchen, so a dietary tag does not automatically mean a product is free from cross-contact. For a severe allergy, do not order unless the team has confirmed suitability for the specific product.
Does vegan or gluten-free mean allergen-free?
No. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free describe particular ingredients or dietary choices; they do not mean the food is free from all regulated allergens. Always read the allergen information and final product label.
Can I request lower spice, no dairy or another preference?
Personalised plans may be shaped around preferences such as spice level, disliked ingredients or dairy-free choices where the kitchen can safely accommodate them. A preference is not the same as an allergy declaration, so always tell us separately about allergies and medical dietary needs.
Do you accept returns?
No physical food returns are accepted. Flayvr products are fresh, chilled and perishable. Once dispatched, they cannot be put back into stock or safely resold, so we do not accept change-of-mind returns. This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, unsafe, damaged, missing or not as described.
What if an item arrives damaged, leaking or unsafe?
Do not eat it. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number, a description of the problem, clear photographs of the item and outer packaging, and a photograph of the use-by or batch label. Keep the affected item refrigerated where it is safe to do so until we advise you what to do next.
What if an item is missing or I received the wrong meal?
Contact us within 24 hours with your order number and a photograph of everything received. Once verified, we will offer an appropriate remedy for the affected item, which may be a replacement, refund or account credit depending on the circumstances.
Can I get a refund because I did not like the flavour?
Taste is personal, so a dislike of the flavour on its own is not normally treated as a product fault. Please still share your feedback, especially on a personalised plan, because it can help us improve future meal selections. This does not limit your rights where food is faulty, unsafe or not as described.
How are approved refunds paid?
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider controls how quickly the funds appear. Account credit may be offered where agreed with you.
How do personalised meal plans work?
You tell Flayvr about your taste, routine, dietary preferences and what you need from the week. Ami helps shape the brief, then the kitchen prepares the food. Feedback on meals can be used to improve future selections.
Is Ami a replacement for medical or nutritional advice?
No. Ami helps organise food preferences and meal-plan choices. It does not diagnose, treat or cure a medical condition and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or registered healthcare professional.
Can I pause or change a recurring plan?
Use your account controls where available or contact Flayvr before the next kitchen cut-off. Requests made after ingredients have been ordered or preparation has started may apply to the following delivery instead.
Is the packaging recyclable?
Recycle the outer box and clean packaging where local facilities accept the material. Packaging formats can vary, so check the recycling marks on each component and follow your council’s guidance. Follow the instructions printed on cooling packs and do not pour their contents down the sink unless the pack specifically says it is safe.
Why is there so much insulation in the box?
Chilled meals need protection from heat and rapid temperature changes during delivery. The insulation and cooling materials are part of the cold-chain packaging used to help the food arrive in good condition.
